I wish I were here more often---and had more time when I was---because your gallery is a constant flow of such creative imagery and artistic thinking. Being an American, I get tired of the usual "americana" images we see here, for the 4th of July. But this one is wonderfully fresh and spacious, and I love how you made it bi-racial, including a child wrapped in the flag. The woman looks joyous, you have mermaids, seagulls, and a plane (in the 1950s and 1960s, planes were big "american" symbols...but yours isn't flashy or brash, it's just sleek). And San Francisco Bay at what looks like dusk...Beautiful light on the bridge, against that late day blue; and beautiful reflections in the water. A very refreshing 4th of July image, with your usual creativity and flare. And I like the lady's hair too. Very celebrating work, Ute. And very well done.
