Description
Safe to say this is my most political and most controversial image to date. I took inspiration from what's happened in the wake of the Charleston church shootings, and from what's been posted on social media.
I also find it amusing that those who appoint themselves as the "anti-PC brigade" get worked up and act just like those they despise, when 'symbols' they themselves hold sacred get trashed.
I would have done more work on the flames, but as they came from a pre-4.8 version of DAZ Studio there's no proper shader for them in iRay yet.

About the composition of image I say that it is very well done with a great POV and the group is very well assembled with a fine series of poses !!

This is not just a flag that is under fire, it is a memory. Lost forever in the shadow of Political correctness, only it is one sided and blind to the true charm of the south. A charm that is not filled with hate, but sadness as their culture is pushed into the fire of change, while we embrace the fall of sacrifice and blood of our forefathers. Right or Wrong, it is sad that one heritage must be discarded in favor of another. Erased from the history books so as not to offend others, must we destroy? Should we not be teaching a better way, rather than hiding under the shelter of the easy path, and hiding from the truth. Sorry for the rant, but with your challenge to the Anti-PC Brigade, I felt obligated. :-). Still this is a great image

Sorry but you are so wrong When they outlaw that flag There will be no more racism No more prejudice No more killing No more poverty No one will go without People will be polite to each other in the streets The weather will improve And even the coffee will taste better Or maybe not?

Those who have never lived in the south don't understand it. I wasn't born in the South, but have lived in it. That flag isn't a symbol of racism... at least it wasn't before the media said it was. Same with the media pushing every button it can to trigger racist fighting. It isn't the flag that should be put away....it is the media that shouldn't be allowed to push it's own agenda. I worked a job in Savanna, GA. They had a gentleman escort me in the evenings from building to building for safety reasons. I am female and very "white", he wasn't. No one thought anything of it. I didn't, he didn't, and no one around us did. Yes, there are places where racism still abounds, but it is the people we need to change, not the 'symbols'. Erasing, rewriting or forgetting history just makes us susceptible of repeating it in future generations. This image simply shows reverse racism against an entire group of people... most of whom abhor racism as well. Focus efforts on the individuals who are perpetuating racism, not a piece of history.
