Description
Meet Mom. After 3 days of attempting to feed 3 scraggly herons, I get a call from my other neighbour. He said his dog had been barking for 4 days so he decided to go see why...............after 4 days............. He said there was a bird tangled in fishing line at the edge of the water. I went down and found, of all things, MOM ! Aftrer hydrating her and giving her some calories, I took her to my large cage to make sure nothing was broken. She was fine. I saw the parts of the nest that had blown out in the storm a few days before.
I gathered all of my scraggly little guys up and put them along with mom in a protected area at the edge of the water.
All are doing great and all are now flying. I have a few more pictures I will post later.

Aha! Peek-a-boo, I see you! Wonderful account, happy ending. When I see the multitude of critters on this planet I'm simply amazed. Then I think of ALL people on this planet, and I'm amazed. It makes one rather awed at the profusion of life God's created. The master biochemist and geneticist. And to think of how many types of herons there are - I've never seen this type before. Glad you have some more photo you can post to educate us! Keep up the great work! :-) Kitty says "Meow!"

At least they will not grow up with any psychological problems about mom's with flat faces that don't know how to serve fish. And they grow into a beautiful bird.

What a happy ending to this story. I am glad you found mom. She does indeed look beautiful and it is astonishing to see her chicks and to think they will look the same when they do grow up. God bless.
