Description

Mustn't forget my roses. Captured way back on 4/5/08, early morning, somewhere around the neighborhood. That was even before Barack Obama was ever elected President. Have a nice day.

A magenta and blush beauty, Harry; superb capture of these mouthwatering colours and velvety petals!

Beautiful colors, Harry, and so nice that you have access to your images from years ago.

a beautiful rose capture, with this one jutting into our space and taking over the whole shot. I like your crop, putting the rose right at us, with deep dark around it. With Denise, superb capture of these mouthwatering colours and velvety petals. (I quoted her verbatim...including "colours"---definitely a British spelling!) Lots of caverns inside this. I don't recall too many flower shots from you, where you go in this close, and crop it so the flower leaves no space on top or bottom. It's very dramatic, and makes it look like it's shouting at us to get our attention. Beautiful silky work, and another beauty in your long-continuing rose series. One could say that your rose series puts an end to the saying "a rose is a rose is a rose": Not in your gallery it isn't. Each one of these roses is a total world to itself. One of the great series on this site. Harry, I'm at over an hour and a half now---and I wish I were faster and could've done more than the shots I did, but I have to move on (as I want to show my face in a few other galleries before morning ends). But I'll be back soon. As always, it's a great pleasure to see you prove that the whole world is under our feet if we just bother to look...
