Description

I recently read an article about B.B. Kingand there was a photo accompanying the article. I just had to draw BB King, since he has a very difficult, yet intruiging face. The hardest parts were the eyes/glasses, the lips and hands as they took me AGES to complete. The scan blurs the pencil a bit making it more realistic whereas the original is quite grainy due to the 180 grams paper. I used HB and B4/ B6. thanks for viewing, comments are welcome SYNDROID

...these drawings of yours are pretty damn incredible. You must have nerves of steel.

Yes, I have nerves of steel (sort of neurotic Superman...) and lots of time right now. But this is part 6 in the entire process of drawing, redrawing, erasing, redrawing etc. I'm quite the perfectionist and I'm still not satisfied yet.

Okay...this...HAS to be a photo! I mean, look at the godly, unbeliavable detail on this picture. And I am sure that I do no over-exaggerate it when I say that if this is not a photograph, then you are truelly a master.

This is a tremendous piece.. you truly captured that elusive "essence" which brings a drawing to life.
