Description

Independent News Network 16th October 2610 -Special News Update- Heavy fighting is still underway on the world of Gohara as Federation troops attempt to break open the subterranean Dayton-Aomori facility that is believed to be located there. Federal forces have been assaulting the mountainous terrain of the Goharan Badlands for over a week and have met extreme resistance every step of the way. In addition to tackling the area's extreme terrain, Federal ground troops have encountered a much larger enemy presence than was apparently predicted. This has led some to speculate that the base may also be a manufacturing facility besides conducting Research & Development. Only time will tell. ********************************************************** Dayton-Aomori personnel hoping for a rescue from the Corporation ships beyond the edge of the system may be in for a long wait. The D-A attack squadron, which has been harassing elements of the Federal 6th Fleet guarding the Goharan system, finally broke for home after receiving (and incurring) many losses over the period of the current campaign. Constant raids and incursions by the D-A squadron have hampered Fleet attempts to search all the planetary bodies of the system for any further Corporate presence in detail. The departure of the squadron should now allow this process to proceed at a much quicker pace. ********************************************************** This image shows Federation Marines, with gunship support, assaulting defence installations that guard what may be one of the main access points to the underground base. The Marines are often deployed as shock troops and specialise in close quarter combat. We will keep you updated with events as further reports come in.... .: Credits :. Kind of reminds me of a modern updated version of one of those 19th Century battle paintings by Meissonier, Detaille, Lappoteaux, or even by the 18th Century artists Rush or Trumbell, with the troops ranged in attitudes of battle around the commander or main focus of the painting. (think of those Napoleonic or Amer. Revolution era battle paintings) Very Nice!

Wow Franky! Just when I think it isn't possible, this series gets better every time I see it. I especially like the weapons and the texturing on the armor.
