Description

Looking up in Bournemouth Square. I once had a middle-aged Saudi student lodging with me, who found all this sort of architecture most upsetting. He felt it should be replaced with something, cleaner, tidier and taller, it is such a 'mess'! He also thought that one of our most important ruins, Corfe Castle, was a national disgrace.

We must stop these people like your student today! Because: They try to tear down our finest buildings, as you said, and they would be replace woods and fields and flowers by sandy deserts, dunes and fata morganas. I say: Enough is enough! (LOL). I love these older buildings. They have such character. And one of things I like best about the British is that, sometimes, they are such a 'mess'. Thoroughly human.
