Hello!! from Jean. I live in UK north of Manchester and close to the Ribble Valley. I have two sons who live in the south of England , and Geneva. I have been interested in photography for years..in the sense of capturing people and scenes, but with a digital camera have become an addict. Photography enables unique moments to be captured and one learns to use one's eyes more searchingly. As I have absolutely no talent in conventional art it is a challenge to try to produce results with all the help available with software. As a overview of my gallery will show, I am a novice! I do like to experiment..usually with no fixed idea of where i'm going1 Just persist until the image pleases me. and the creative process is fun. Members of RR have been very generous with their comments and help, which is very much appreciated. I have learned so much of seeing other artists' work apart from the real enjoyment of viewing and having contact with other members.  I like to travel which gives added inspiration.... Many many thanks to you all. JeanÂ

You mean they had cellphones even back then? I see people walking around constantly in this exact position, speaking as loud as they can. Their arms never seem to tire. That said, a stellar capture of this venerable sculpture and ancient environs, Jean. And, thanks for reminding me that I have files of similar subject matter.

Now I can see where he keeps it when it's not in use !!! Excellent shot Jean. Have been to Chatsworth - a super place to visit.

Hmm, i shall have to add this spot to my list of places to visit. Fun capture here. I wonder if there was more to it originally ...why his hand was in this classic (nowadays) phone position. An intrigueing piece in any case. Thanks for sharing.

Looks like Zeus is going to have to wait his turn with that earth saving emergency call! Hercules has a more important personal call! This is so funny! The sculptor had NO idea this would become a very common every day pose! Thanks for the laugh! And the info about the castle! Keep up the good work! :-)
