Description

I originally did this image about 10 years ago with my "new" woodpecker set and the Millennium Horse. It seemed time to redo the image using the improvements in the Songbird ReMix models over the years and the new Hivewire3D horse. This image is based on a true story reported by Cornell Labs of Ornithology... “One bold Arizona Woodpecker landed on the leg of a horse and hammered on it as if it was a tree. It came back for another rap after the horse moved off, and caused the horse to plunge and kick to keep it away.”

giggles Lively scene - and obviously a confused and shortsighted Woodpecker. There sure are no beetles in a horses leg - and it doesn't make much noise ... We have some Woodpeckers around here who have fun hammering on TV antennas - no beetles, but much noise for marking your territory.

That's great! I love the horse's expression. I've been pondering getting the Hivewire horse. I'm leaning even closer now.
