Thanks Richard. I improvised a tripod with an upside down can, wooden box, cushion and three yearbooks from back in high school. I placed a short length of wooden beam to support under the lens for the angle and THIS TIME let go of the strap, held the books steady and leaned on the window sill for support. Precarious but thankfully it was successful.
