Description

An Indian woman is looking away on what is left of the beach, along the promenade in Pondicherry (Tamil Nadu), after the devastating 2004 tsunami that killed about 230,000 people in 14 countries, in the Indian Ocean, combined with the rise of the sea-level that is already there, due to climate change. In a blog on the net, an Indian man describes that impression of loss :..." ...the walk on the beach road in Pondicherry is the central attraction of downtown Pondicherry , though the name 'beach' is a misnomer as after the tsunami it has been covered by the rocks and the beach is just a sliver of sand..." I took the photo earlier this year, in February.

Thank you so much for your comments on my previous photo manipulation...Have a nice week ! and zoom in for more details and pixels!

Jean-Luc, you are such a kind and thoughtful person and this powerful presentation really was moving. Seeing this image combined with you're thoughts causes one to realize just how petty are problems can be in comparison with those who have truly suffered.
