Description

I've been working on this for about a week, off and on..... In between all the other stuff that's been going on lately. I didn't think I'd EVER get through this, but for better or worse, here it is. This was inspired by a Hunger Games video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-zYI2gzFNs I saw. I haven't really been following the movies, but I thought this video was pretty cool! I thought it would make an interesting image with the T.N.A. Girls and a "few" of their friends! And, no.... I didn't render all 41 girls at the same time. I rendered each row, shadows, and the background separately, then composited everything in Photoshop CC. I know the Girls aren't wearing caps like they did in the video, but the ladies were worried about messing up their hairdos. Heaven forbid. They were most insistent. They were also armed. And G4 is a dead-eye shot with a bow - as well as having a few more curves than Ms. Everdeen... LOL There's no way in h### I can remember all the stuff I used in here (I didn't keep notes as usual), so I'll just list all the merchants and creators I can remember below. I'll add to the list as I remember who created what. The guy from Orkin came out and did a one-time service to get rid of the bees/wasps, or whatever they were. Only charged 50 bucks, so we got off easy! I showed him a few of the dead critters when he arrived, and he said "These are nasty little things." I agree - they're small but they pack a wallop! I did some research, and it appears they're a kind of miniature yellow jacket. What makes them particularly nasty is they bite and sting at the same time - they hold on with their mandibles, then sting. So you end up with two holes close together. Anyway, they're all gone, And I removed what was left of the nest earlier today. Now I need to get to work on the next page in the T.N.A. story! Hope everyone is having a great weekend As always, thanks so much for dropping by, and for all your great comments and support! It keeps me going! Really impressive work Rod! This is really cool and came out excellent. Awesome work on set up and costuming. I like how G4 stands out in that red outfit against the gray uniforms. Who wouldn't want to stand with such a fine troop of ladies. Glad your yellowjacket problem is fixed. That's some nasty bug, biting AND stinging. I just saw another yellow jacket take some lumps in Ant Man today. Really fun movie actually. Considerably lighter in mood and tone than the other Marvel madness. Highly recommended for a laugh and some comic book heartfelt moments.

Fabulous work on the scene! Glad you were able to get those wasps out of your house. they way they attacked you and Jo it sounded like they were the Tracker Jackers from Hunger Games. I've got the current batch of The Hunger Games videos and cannot wait to see the last half of Mockingjay. Again, Great work on this

Awesome composition!!!... I guess this is what they been practicing for on their time off.... would be cool to make a short video of all the girls making all the moves like in the video!! I haven't seen the movies... but I'm familiar with what they are about... that video came out cool!! Can't wait for the next TNA page... though I can guess the our sleazy senator will be receiving something that he'll never forget!!... which reminds me, I need to work on the next page of the Rocket Man adventure... Have a good one!!

An outstanding creation Rod. Excellent attention to details - no two girls look alike. Loved the vid and the trailer. Thanks for the links. Yellow Jackets are so aggressive and relentless - smart move to bring in the pros and destroy the nest too! Stay well my friend.

Super job getting all this together. It came out incredibly well. Love the shadows and the marvelous assortment of girls you managed to get in the scene. I've read all the books in the Hunger Games series (thanks to my daughters) and seen most of the movies. I'm sure Rachel will catch me up on the final movie as soon as the DVD comes out. Glad to know you and Jo won't be attacked any time soon, at least by the little waspies.

Wow, what a fantastic work putting this together, even the render was row for row, it is still quite a challenging work! Plus the post work, which you did so flawlessly. Glad to know that those pesky insects are gone now and you are doing okay. Thanks for the update on that, Big Bro. :-)

Super work on this scene Rod would have taken a while to put together, Looks fantastic. I reckon these 41 Ladies could sort out Isis no problem. They would get the world into shape. Never seen Hunger Games but if these girls are in it I will join. (If they take old F**ts) lol. Glad to hear you've got rid of the nasty stinging/biting things too you will be pleased.. Have a great weekend and keep these fabulous images coming buddy!!

Excellent job blending them all together in PS. I like the backlit approach a lot. We had bees in our chimney recently. I tried to get a bee keeper to remove the hive, but they all refused when they learned the bees were some hybrid of African and domestic. "Nasty" was a word I heard more than once.

Oh, MAN! What can I say? An ARMY of gals! Great work here - I understand the difficulty in compositing so much, to get positioning, lighting and shadows so on-the-mark! All I can say is excellent work! Keep it up! And... glad to hear you got rid of the flying menaces! :-) DART! Where's the 6 on the rating scale?

Cool render Rod! I wish them tons of luck taking back the world. Not sure why we gave it away in the first place. But you know the old saying, don't know what you got till its gone! :)

I'm with you and the girls.. We need to take back our world.. I could drone on about the Con artists that syphon off cash leading our County here, but what's the point.. The drones (people) have shut their ears and either are beaten down so much they don't want to hear OR actually believe the crap they are told.. (I don't know what's more scary?). And why i the U.K. the only Country NOT bombing IS in Syria? Even Turkey now bombs them one day after a bomb went off in Turkey AND allows the U.S. to fly from there.. So why????? That aside, amazing work mate, most impressive, I'm surprised the PC didn't retire in protest! lol Rob

I knew it would happen, but not where... Kentucky boys don't play... https://www.yahoo.com/tech/s/man-shoots-down-drone-hovering-000032027.html

Yeah, I saw that story..... And it's a little different than what the shooter claimed... The drone (A Phantom) was never below 100 feet, and was not hovering or looking under anyone's canopy as he claimed. Discharging a firearm in most municipalities is at least a misdemeanor - and firing at ANY aircraft, manned or unmanned, is a federal offense carrying significant penalties (i.e. do you look good in orange? :-P) This is why I rarely fly mine in my neighborhood - if I do it stays over my property.
