Rothchild is what most call a Vacant, although Nathon still thinks of him as a Slayer, an opinion instilled in him by his father. Roth is an uncaring assassin, killing anyone that shows himself to be something best kept secret. They are an ancient group that has hunted down the misfortunate souls touched by the idle hand of God, those that by no fault of their own have been blessed, or cursed by the infection. It makes no difference that he is a detective for the Blackwood Police department, no that only makes his dark work easier. Long ago, in the shadows of the mountains a fog rolled in and cast its magic on a select few, turning some into Vampires, others took the forms of Werewolves, Ogres, and some nastier beast. Then again, some took a more favorable side of the infection, like Elves, Pixies and Wizards. Nathon and others work to protect the innocence of Blackwood, which brings this gathering together tonight. The Vacant is here to kill a young woman that through no fault of her own, has a taste for blood. She, like most do not kill, they just nibble a bit, not that it still does not cause a scare if the mundane citizens of Blackwood get wind of it. The tall blonde man, with his long hair up in a ponytail slips past Nathon, never seeing the Wizard. Although Nathon does not feel much like a Wizard at the moment, the Vacant pulling all his magic into the darkness. That is why Deirdra is here, the vacant will not rob her of her most dangerous talents, oh she will lose the glimmer magic that clouds the minds of her victims, but she will not need that tonight.
