Hi, my name is Ulla and I live in Switzerland. Besides having a talent in working with clay and modelling sculptures in ceramic, photography has been one of my fav hobbies since my teenage years. In the ninties when computers and digital cameras came into my life this hobby was intensified a lot.
Creating in 3d nowadays is my main focus, although my camera still stays with me.

Very fine picture. Even the hover fly's wings are captured well to see their color. Loved to see such detail.

When I see an insect with yellow and black stripes I head the other way... ;) It was my younger brothers fault, when we were kids, for sitting on an old tree stump that had become the home for some nasty wasps. He stared to cry and I thought at first he was just faking it. I pushed through the bushes to see him sitting there with a small cloud around him and at least six or seven angry wasps crawling over his face. I'm not sure why his survival instinct hadn't kicked in by now, but mine did. He must have seen the look in my eye, because my brother followed me out of there running like heck for the safety of our house a good two hundred yards away! Lucky I only got stung twice as the buggers really came after us. My poor younger bro got the worst of it. Ten stings and three to his face, ouch. He's ok now, or is he... ;)

oh my, and yep I know about those angry ones too. We once we preparing for our local riding competition and grooming the grounds. We cleared out an old container which would be used as the judges place... and well there were some angry wasp defending their nest, They got me luckily just above my eye and on my thumb, but they eye was swollen shut in no time and the thump looked like a balloon...lol Good you got your brother out there in time too :)
