This is really beautiful, especially the lightning and the dof is just right!

Normaly I don't comment on other peoples work. Who am I to judge wether it's good or bad? In this case I just got to say that it is a wonderful piece of art. Everything is just right. Minor detail are the balls that lead the eye into the picture but don't make any sence to me in an kitchen. If you modelled the rest yourself you could come up with something that suits a kichenscene a little bit better. Last little thing to help you: since the big plant is your point of focus and therefor your point of interest it could do with a little bit more light that is now on the balls. Turn the sun or at some fill-light on the left. Beside these minor comment I think you did a excellent job! Keep up the good work. Eddy.

I don't know why the first ball and the flower is out of focus.

I think some of the points jaggos makes are very good. But I really like this image and the new DOF looks great.

As Dan said.. Depth of Field is well used in this piece. It is quite ordinary to subtly use it to focus the viewer's attention on a particular object in a scene. I really like this alot, because it has alot of things going on in it, without being too complex to be appreciated. :)

Yes this scene could have been so much better... The centre of interest is actually the red flower which is out of focus and actually leads the eye out of the picture... I personaly would place the flower more prominently, make it sharply focussed and throw the back objects out of focus. Nice modelling of plants and flower though.
