Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Yikes is right. It makes you wonder how many people lost pets along that rim before they decided to post the sign.

What a great idea for a photo.

OH DEAR! I always empty my camera card on to the PC every day, so I can still remember what I saw or did. My pics are my diary!

OK, it looks like Deception Pass to me, but all those tall bridges do tend to look the same (thanks, Army Corps of Engineers!)...beautiful capture of the bridge and its Doppelganger!

Yes, I can bail you out. :P I think it's the Crooked River Gorge. I mean ... I know exactly where and what it is, but am not sure of the name. It's at the Peter Skene Ogden State Park in Oregon, but that isn't what I would call it if I wanted to tell you where I'd been! LOL! It's north of Terrebonne a little ways. :)

Fabulous capture. You know that there was at least one irresponsible pet owner who didn't have the brains to think that there was a very steep drop...

I like the photo with the bridge's shadow. It doesn't look like the railroad bridge that is out that way so I think it is called the Crooked River High Bridge. A great POV in any case!

Oh no! This doesn't do my acrophobia one bit of good! I would be lying face down after stepping five feet onto the bridge. No flip-flops allowed here! Otherwise, I love this magnificent shot of the unidentified Erector Set structure, Marilyn, with the ominous black shadow it casts onto the hard scrabble cliff to the right. Just look at those deep textures on that cliffside.

Well, the view is breathtaking. Very nice bridge. Great play with the shadow of the bridge. Perfect work :-)
