Description

She comes in colors She's like a rainbow Coming, colors in the air Oh, everywhere She comes in colors This was meant to be a grand finale bringing a color series together, have been endlessly playing w it, adding or subtracting this and that, never feeling it finished... have realized it never will be, maybe finishing it is some sort of good bye i'm never going to be ready to say.... it may come across as an over saturated color explosion...but that's what she was to me... and trust me, that's a very good thing... her birthday is coming up... and i like remembering her like this, maybe more fitting than some of the darkness in the individual colors..... for whoever looks in and is one of the few messaging me , questioning my right to grieve for her...save the venom.. you can think what you want... i'll grieve for her however the hell i want........i miss you and love you baby, you are forever my Blushy

Greetings Marco, This image is the first that I saw today. Mesmerizing, captivating, beautiful! I read your description and that further stoked my curiosity. I had to see MORE! I looked through your entire gallery and realized that I have not seen any of your work before today (I've been pretty lax about getting onto Renderosity for awhile). Your artwork fascinates me and appeals to me on so many levels. I can see that you are not a beginning artist, that you have been doing art for a long time. You have a natural gift of being able to envision and draw your inner thoughts in such a remarkable way that is beautiful for us all. I like your linework, compositions, and especially your use of color! Superb! As I looked through your gallery there were two big questions that kept running through my mind: 1) What do you use to make your artwork with? I found that answer when you replied to woodywoo on "Call it Art". Are those still the tools you use? 2) What is the story about Blushy, the love of your life, obviously? I came across the beginning of this piece, "Like a Queen"; which was done as a traditional pen & ink drawing, correct? And your first post of all, "Blushy's Journey" starts it all off here. I can see the continuing theme of her presence through much of your work. Such a wonderful body of work and a great tribute. If you don't mind, I would love to learn more of the story about her and you. I have many other questions specifically about your artwork but I will save those for later. I consider myself very fortunate to have happened upon your work today, and THIS piece particularly!

Thank you so much!!!... for both your interest and kind comments... i am grateful and humbled...... 1... i still use mostly GIMP..sometimes PAINT for some linework.. although i've drawn since i was a kid, i started doing digital stuff about 2 years ago or so... 2... yes, she was my heart and soul, we met a couple of years ago, w art as a common ground, she was an accomplished 3-d artist, eventually, friendship became love, and we finally acknowledged that last year...many of her works are here...although she had , some time ago, mostly left this site for Deviant Art, where we met... she had sort of soured on being here, for various reasons... i came here after she passed, feeling it gave a sort of connection... it's both sad and comfortable to see her art... Blushy is a nickname i had for her... Blushy's Journey is something i did shortly after she passed... it was originally a different theme , which i had started for her for her last birthday, she was continuously after me to finish it, but, i procrastinated, then, time ran out...originally, the ship was bringing her home, we had planned on deciding where to live this year, we lived so far away from each other... and as she got ill, travel wasn't possible... we had hoped by this year , we would work out where to be... but the universe had other plans... her name here was bossy boots... her real name Louise Davis by me72nl Online Now! auh, here it is, with all the images prior in the back bleeding into the fore. and it was your original portrait in pen and ink that got me traversing your space, hooked me. i'd have to look, but i would think that i probably said something to you about colouring it, and you were, piece by piece. and piece by piece exploring the impact of her life and death upon you. t'is a remarkable tribute, though that word is so off in many ways, doesn't really even scratch close to the depth of your acknowledgement of her. i weep for you, Marco, and not out of pity - i weep for you with a smile on my face, and wholeheartedly believe you inherently understand my meaning and my empathy.

I've been almost afraid to finish this... there's an irrational fear of loosing a connection, i do completely understand what you mean, empathy is the correct word, and though it can have vague interpretation, it's exactly accurate, thank you so much for always seeing and looking past first blush... i can't tell you how much i appreciate that
