Description

This alstroemeria was an expensive disappointment when It arrived over 2 years ago. The variegated leaves plus red blooms looked so good in the catalogue. Very slow to establish and look worthy of a place, in my garden anyway. This close up hides it's puny state!

Excellent. I also failed years ago to grow one of these. You beat me as mine didn't flower

The colours are lovely; maybe they like it warmer? I know my ex-brother in law had a stand of them growing at his house that basically just took care of themselves and bloomed profusely.

I like your photo, but I'm not keen on these plants, they always remind me of funerals!

Well, they are very lovely even if they haven't met your expectations. A lovely closeup of this pretty lily.
