My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

While I can appreciate the art and effort expended to make the metal piece I absolutely lurve the bowl. I'm guessing you do as well.

My favorite is also the bowl. I used to love the baroque style when I was younger, but as I have gotten older I find I appreciate the simple and elegant style even more. I do still appreciate the fancy work though.
SunriseGirl
I forgot to add that my guess is that you also prefer the bowl. The elegant simplicity shows up often in your photos.

I reckon the others guess right. I love the juxtaposition here. Part of the trouble with fussy stuff is the dust it collects. In its heyday the folk who could afford it had 'staff'. I wish I could afford staff to clean my simple stuff!

I go for the bowl too Tara, just your kind of minimalistic shot and a great contrast it is.

I agree with the other opinions so far - that you prefer the simplicity of the bowl. I tend to be attracted to the baroque, though I also appreciate elegant simplicity & I definitely like the way you've presented both of them together - the best of both worlds...

I'm guessing the bowl, as well, which I also prefer. No one is better than you are at noticing things like this and creating such artful compositions and presentations! Well done, Tara!

Both are Perfect!!! Excellent Shot!!!

A marvelous image!

this is again a perfect pictorial design to show the contrast! I love both when the baroque style isn't tasteless and to combine both to a playful composition is a great idea! I think you also love both styles when you feel a soul in it! ;o)

I think you like most the simple and elegant :-) But actually this shots looks pretty awesome too--- with both.

I'd go with the bowl as well simple is better

Great image with the contrasts...no time to read all the comments, but I guess the bowl...although the baroque is fun to capture!

Bowl? I thought I was looking at the edge of the maw of a volcano, considering the red sheen. Nice juxtaposition of simple detail and complex decorations. I find the lighting impressive - straight onto the baroque, and from above(???) the bowl. A little trick photography? Keep up the good work! :-)

I know the answer. Very artsy shot. A shot I'd never think of... That's why there are two of us:-) Excellent.

Amazing capture Tara. God bless.

I like the combination of the two different styles, and I would guess that you like to see the mix of things to appreciate all of it. It's hard to like one without the other to offset it and highlight its good parts!

Amazing capture!

Nice shot I go for the bowl .

Of course you like the baroque the must, right? But it doesn't matter, because the photo is so cool, to see this different things together, and as I don't know what's in the bowl, this could be a complex choice to make, my friend

I agree with durleybeachbum

This is a wonderful contrast in styles, Tara! I'd make a place for either - or both - on my shelf (whichever shelf has room...). I'm guessing your fave is the bowl. It does seem to have a beautiful warm glow.
