Description

I used the California Ground Squirrel as an ID for this little fellow. The Yosemite web site lists 35 different rodents living in the park. I know that this is not a beaver or a porcupine so that is my best guess. They were cute and scampering all over the place begging for food. If I remember correctly this photo was taken up in the Glacier Point area about 3,200 feet (975 meters) above the canyon floor. Photo taken in the 1990s and recently scanned. It is a good zoom. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana
