Description
A simple desert !
Without : bliss, glow, shockwave, nebulae, cloud for professionnal, strata, overlay, hi-res texture, rays, crystal ball, phenix effect, low fog ...
Moreother, it hasn't been calculated at higher resolutions...
Why this ?
Just in order to say that with Terragen, we're not forced to create images with all of these effects and technics, we can create very simple images rapidly.
And I think it is a real pleasure to do this ! ;-)
What do you think about what I've said ?

Nico a dit : Did you read the text ? Bin dis donc, pour ne pas l'avoir lu, faudrait qu'on soit vraiment myope !!! MDR :)))

Le texte ajoute son sens l'image. The text gives the meaning of the image.

he he he... un pov impressionnant en tout cas

Why not use the full potential, why restrict on basic functions? No necessity to do THAT!

Nice work... simplistic beauty

booooring :o)

Terragen can be truly awesome in its simplicity and you have shown that here.
Bleze
agree with Der Alte :o))))

I like the effects personally. I switched to Terragen from Bryce for creating backgrounds for Poser images simply because it renders "volumetrics" extremely fast. If I were to attempt volumetrics that half matched what I do in TG it would take maybe close to a week. Look in the Bryce gallery....how many images have extreme volumetrics in them? I know I'm not forced to do them like that....I like to.

Definitely a good point, but I stick by my weird effects and post processing. This is a well done desert scene, almost perfect for what it is...but, I agree with Bleze :o)))))

It was just for fun ! I hope that nobody is angry because of this. Me too, I like the special effects. Thanks to all persons who have commented this image !

I think terragen is to create images. No matter in what style they are, as long as they look nice or interesting. I also create effects and photorealistic scenes and everything between that or a combination of it (I hope) ;-)

My point of view is that one should implement new ideas, not just create images rapidly. And of course, a good idea needs a good amount of work to look nice ;]

I like the simplicity of it. It is 100% Terragen. No imports from other programs. Not many people still use strictly Terragen. Great job!

Thanks !

Billion peoples that rapidly generates billion Terragen images??!! Nightmare!! Just pleasure of creating something? Great!! But this reminds Me old story about billion monkeys in a front of billion typewriters... So there is similar result - only few Terragen images are good enough to show in public galleries. Otherwise biilions of rapidly generated images is just boring. So people: try to implement Your ideas, not only push to button "Generate" and have pleasure from this :))

For me it does not matter if an image is simple or complicated. I like both... Sometimes i prefer simplicity, because simplicity very often incorporates beauty (if it is well done). But what is important for me is the game and the playing around with diffrent tools. Programs are toys for me and mostly when i start an image (no matter in which program) i dont know anything about the result. Not the final image is important but the road which leads to the result. So Nico, you are on the right way.....
