Description
What my grandson found in the tidepool. He caught it & asked me to take a picture, but it scurried away before I could get a shot off. But he managed to catch it again & I got this shot. He released it again, of course. Neither of us had ever seen this type of crab before - either because they're not very common or maybe because it's well camouflaged against the seaweed & other greenery of the ocean...

So shiny!

It looks more brown than green. Beautiful little critter. It must be quite scared of being grabbed and held. I remember seeing different types of crabs on the beaches around New York when I was a child. Fascinating creatures.
Nice photo. The hand gives a good idea of its size.
Keep up the good work!

I can see why you wanted a picture. Such a pretty creature, and so unusual!

Cool! I've seen them but have never been brave enough to try to pick one up. Nice shot.
