Description

Created using Corel Painter X3, Photo-Brush 5 and other software in post work. There is a poem with this piece and it goes like this... What can we say of what's already done Words long spoken, the race has run The pain remains and will always burn deep For the love of you I will forever weep What can we say?, what can we do? To heal the pain inside of you What's already done, what's already said All the hurt that remains in your head You hurt me, I hurt you All the judgements and presumptions, the turning of the screw The harder it became with intensity of pain The thoughts of hope in my optimistic brain Pathetic lies, cruel judgements, insane! Outside interference of our love with no refrain Good love dies from gossip and lies The devil stirs the pot to distant heartfelt cries No one loves to stay when mental health comes out to play A vindictive child dedicated to decay The memories of you will never fade The words spoken, the mistakes we made There was no chance of romantic advance With an ocean of tears and the family stance We danced the dance to the music end Held our embrace, willed our love to mend When our lips touched it was heaven sent Lifting us from the pain of others cruel intent No longer together through calm and stormy weather I gather some items of you One ring without a finger, a heart without a home Another in my pocket, a wooden cup to drink alone If this is what you wish, let it be forever No pain or tears to heal, just a loneliness called “Never” Walk as you walk, run as you run The story will never change, mum remains mum Hand holds hand and now they must break, how much time can we take? Someone barks a point of view, a selfish observation just for me and you I lose grip of your sweet and precious hand We both fall back onto this heavenly land Wandering alone in the mists of time, the future is unwritten The future we define. Never let regret be a visitor to your door Or the story will repeat itself for you forever more No love, no hope, just domestic chores No one else's decisions, the choices should be yours. Just begin to love yourself, a beautiful girl you will find don't believe that love is hopeless or that love is blind Find yourself within the girl I will forever love Never hold to the negative fold, trust those who care above And so the book now closes on this bittersweet despair The kisses, hugs and roses, the fractured love affair What could we say?, what could we have done? Maybe a stasis, two as one Without the cruel and bitter words from an angry mum. A Loneliness Called “Never”. by Mark David Rogers (2015).

Such a sad poem, Mark, with a beautifully constructed image to go with it.
