Description
The purpose of my trip was to see The Palouse in the late spring when the hills were green with crops. If you have been following this journey you have seen some of the beautiful rolling hills that cover the region. But to get a real appreciation it must be seen from above. And so one afternoon I traveled out to Steptoe Butte which is the highest point in the area, set up my tripod and waited for the sun to work its magic. I will be posting a series of nine images to highlight the beauty of this part Eastern Washington.

Glorious! It is a landscape I've not seen before, I must research what geology lies beneath.

I need to get out that way; all the shots I've seen are fascinating. This one is absolutely lovely, can't wait to see the rest!

Beautiful, graceful hills that remind me of sand dunes. My only issue is the extreme tilt of the horizon line. I know it doesn't bother a lot of people (maybe most?) & may even be intentional for some kind of effect, but it does detract from the beauty & serenity for me...
