Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

I like the 'MINE' bit Andrea, it must be a gold mine to them and I must say they are a lot cheaper in Chard so I hope they don't get to see this !!!

It was absolutely filthy and covered in algae. I've had it 18 months and never touched. I took them 20 minutes instead of the usual 10 with up to 4 lads working on it at once.

WOW! That is well worth the money I am sure. It looks to be done properly. :))

My car gets a complete going over ever week!

I used to get mine washed whenever I took it to the garage for service. I've washed several cars in my lifetime, but none in the past ... oh ... maybe 15 or 20 years. Since I wasn't driving long distances, I would take the car in about twice a year, so that's how often it got washed! Now, of course, I have Bill the Car Guy, and he washes the car. And the motorhome. And the golf cart. Not as often as he thinks they need it, mind you, but far more often than twice a year! LOL!
What fun to see these shots, and to see your "new" car nice and shiny! Did you know it was silver?

We have a lot of these car washes & they are always busy. The people, usually young, do an amazing job. It starts from £6.

LOL! I wish we had a wash as good as that. It's all mechanical ones here, with no variation in the time spent going through, and as a result there are often missed areas. Prices can range a huge amount for the same inattentive care, too. Oh, if I wanted to spent upward of $80 I could go to a detailing service, but really, that's nearly a car payment, just to clean off some bird poo and road mire.

Your MINE reminds me of the divorced women's license plate on her Mercedes 'Was His'. Twenty pounds seems like a lot but then this is a hand wash. We have the automated ones here in California. It goes into the little building brown and comes out white.

It was a first for me too last week, my second hand new car covered in dust and ash made by the idiot builders working on the extension next door, Taunton £10 they looked so desperate for work.
