I've been using Poser and Daz for a while now, but I still feel like a newbie. I like the potential of being able to animate and create your own scenes. The creative effort appeals to me on so many levels. You're only limited by your own imagination, drive and creativity.
I'm a storyteller, so basically I want to use Poser to create the stories that I want to tell, so my interest is more in modeling and posing than Animation. I'm trying to keep myself focused on that.

I can't take the credit for the background. It's actually part of DAZ Studio Iray HDR Outdoor Environments. i literally was floored by how it came out. I just wanted the lighting. It was a happy accident, I assure you.

What is nice about the Iray domes you can rotate them and the figures shadows follow I see some shadows cast by the rocks and not by the figure plus her feet are floating inches above the rocks try going into the render setting in the environment tab go to ground turn Draw ground on set ground position from auto to manual set the ground origin Y up until it touches the feet adjust the ground shadow intensity until it looks right. Oh if you don't have the Draw settings set to NVIDIA Iray you will not be able to see what you have until render is completed, sorry if you already Know all this I'm just tring to help.

Thanks for the tip. I wasn't really going for accuracy --I was basically testing out posing and rendering for the new figure and the Beautiful Skins Iray Shaders I bought from DAZ3D. When it comes to posing, I will have to say that Genesis 3 is much improved from 1 and 2. A lot of folks are complaining about topology and whatnot, but I don't get hung up in any of that as long as she looks nice when rendered.

Definitely a powerful character and image!! ;-)
