Description

A lovely dogwalk with a visiting friend yesterday in Poole. This is a classic Dayboat, I think. I was SO lucky! My Volvo suddenly stalled as I pulled into my own drive as we got back. Good thing it happened there! Diagnosis weak spark, and rotted vacuum hose. One of the leads had rubbed itself a bare patch and was shorting. Going nowhere till bruv has bought the bits! I shudder to think what a nuisance we could have been if it had happened on a main road somewhere.

Amazing capture Andrea. As you said good thing your vehicle gave problems when you drove into your yard. I agree with you. It would not be fun if ones vehicle break down on one of the busy roads. God bless.

I saw this and thought "Home is the sailor, home from the sea. But only because he's run aground." A nice contrast between this humble float and all the fancy power boats in the background. As for your auto, it doesn't sound fatal. We lost a well known race car driver yesterday to old age. He left this quote; "The difference between a disaster and an adventure is attitude." I glad your adventure turned out well.

What a beautiful sea shore shot Andrea ! The boat on the sand looks like it is ready to tip over ! Thankfully you made it safely home before your car broke down.

A lovely little floater, I'd love to have that one! Great shot and glad your motor waited til you got home to give up the ghost!

And thank heavens for a bruvver who goes out and finds what you need! This morning just as we were getting ready to leave on our two-month trip, one of the drawer latches in the kitchen failed. Bill had it replaced and working perfectly in the time it took me to drive the golf cart down to dump the trash and come back!

I'm always amazed at the significant tides that you experience up north. Our high and low tide is nothing like this! Lovely image Andrea. I'm really happy that your Volvo decided to act up in the drive...
