Perhaps this is more a technical demonstration, than a work of art :) But there's an ongoing issue on how to make grass in Bryce. Here's my version/solution: Use the Bantam3D grass generator. It will produce almost any kind of ground cover you need (apart from grass, also pebbles/rocks and leaves), with your own custom design - output in obj-format. Now, you may think, this requires immense computer power. It doesn't! This image was made om my own humble computer - 450 mhz, 64 mb ram. Render time was about 2,5 hours (antialiasing taking 2/3 of the time), filesize 33,4 mb. I am not an "affiliate" of the maker of the grass program or anything, you can get it for free at www.bantam3d.com. I recommend it to everyone who wants to make grass and other tedious ground cover in their Bryce work! - The image is just a kind of demonstration, much more work could be done, I know that. But have you ever seen a corncircle field rendered in Bryce? Other "credits": A default guy from Poser, trees are default Bryce trees.
