Description
This is the KINLET HALL waiting to take the train to Minehead on the West Somerset Railway. No steam up yet so a few minutes to go and take some pics !! The engine is pulling backwards so the speed limit will be 45 mph.
Pic taken yesterday.

Wonderful view of this train; I wish our railway system here was as healthy and active as the European ones. Great capture!

Steam engines...another category of my favorite things. I suspect this must be powered by oil rather than coal. The engineer has a bit of a different view pulling backwards. Nice sharp picture Jeff.

I am guessing from the tender that she s an oil burner. It is great that steam trains are still in use.

We have trains like this in the States. Unfortunately they are all in museums. Lose the autos, change clothes and this could be a 19th century scene. As they say, a "corker" of an image.
