He was walking along the shore of the cove when he first saw her. His walk slowed until he came to a stop and then stood and watched. He didn't know how long he watched, nor did he really care. Her back was to him as she combed her long silky hair. She finally sensed someone was wathcing her and her head moved left to right as she scanned the horizon. Finally, slowly, she turned around and their eyes locked. His heart raced. He had never believed in love at first sight - until now. But how could this work? This lovely creature was of the sea, and he of land. He was also betrothed to another. But he had to admit that what he felt for his betrothed did not come anywhere close to this!
