Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

Your payment for all the other stuff:) Yes, she's a beauty. And thanks for remembering our fifth anniversary. We have an easy day's drive today...only 160 miles.

I think it is great.

Oh yes, I can see why you kept it! Thanks for the picture of the whole thing, and for the anniversary wishes!
A couple of days ago Mark sent us an image for our upcoming anniversary, not wanting to miss the date while his cable was out for a day or two. We were thrilled to get it of course, not only for the gift of Mark's wonderful art, but because we had both forgotten our anniversary was so close! LOL! You should have seen both our faces when we realized neither of us had remembered. :P We're having such a good time every day, we just forgot!
Anyway ... the good wishes are greatly appreciated. Our friends here on RR are such a part of both our lives, it's nice to share this day with you. :)

This is a beautiful piece. I wonder why your lodger left it behind? I especially like the glass.

What a beautiful piece! I can't understand how people can just leave stuff behind like that. In a way it's admirable that a person could feel so unattached to their "things", but mostly it's unpardonable to just dump them for someone else to have to be responsible for.

Looks great my sort of thing.
