Description

Captured 7/18/15 @ 8:15 on an overcast morning, from within the sacrosanct confines of my condominium complex. Actually, not only do you get the many feathered Bird of Paradise, but also the adjacent topiary. Adelis.

A beautiful crown-like capture of a flower you've always had a great affinity for. And you've composed the shot so that the whole background is at the service of the flower's "crown". Really well composed: The flower's "crown" (or "headdress") is aligned with the round tree behind, and the buildings on either side are perfectly angled to embrace the flower...while the lower stalk of the flower (forgive my lack of terms here!) moves with the angle of the left-sidewalk. Really well composed. And I like the whited out sky---it lifts the image quite a bit. It's like a big art installation, with spear-like shapes shooting into a bucolic residential background. Really well done as a flower shot, and in capturing the context, Harry.

What a beautiful flower this is. Many years ago my father brought home such one. From where, I dont know, but we were all amazed by its beauty. A really lovely shot with lovely droplets too :)
