Description
The last post I did was of the new baby gorilla at our zoo. I was contacted by their marketing department to see if I would give permission for them to use my photos in advertising. They talked about Facebook and the membership magazine. 3 days ago I received an email with this draft. They wanted to know if I would give permission to use my photograph for the new billboards! My phone rang and it was them. They wanted to make sure I saw the draft because they were ready to start putting them up next week. For once in my life I was pretty much speechless. I was advised that there will be several of these all over our city over the next 2 or 3 weeks. They now allow me to come to the zoo anytime I can at no charge so that I can play with my camera and take all the photos I want. I will continue to offer them the use for any they want as this is fantastic exposure for me. For those of you that have been checking to see where I have been, I have have been way too busy. I have been in school, working and have had lots of animals. I did release 37 over the last 2 weeks. Maybe I will now have a little time. Of course, there is always the zoo!

Hi Bev; Thanks for the e-mails. I just haven't had the time to respond. CONGRATULATIONS to this! I see a future for you in animal photography and rehabilitation after you retire. As if you'll retire, rather, move from one job to another more fun and profitable. And daily dose of cute suggests more daily doses from other animals, and more recognition. I sincerely hope this is a rocket for you! How far are you from Knoxville? Keep up the good work! :-) Michael

Oh goodie! Now you can't say you're not a "real" photographer any more. LOL!
This is wonderful, Bev. I'm thrilled for you! It's a great photograph, and perfect for the billboards.
Outstanding news! :)

Great to see your photos are getting some use, and the free entrance to the zoo is not bad .
