Description
I've been photographing rocks and trees again. This time at Matthiessen State Park in Illinois, just a couple miles south of the more known Starved Rock State Park, covered here (quite thoroughly, 'Chelle says I need to edit my Gallery ;-) ) last Spring. We are having an unusual Fall here in Illinois; some trees changing color, others staying green. I did not go with the specific intention of capturing Fall colors. Hope you all enjoy this series.

This is a gorgeous shot. I have enjoyed seeing many of your photos. This one really captured my attention.

This is killer Misha! The trees in our area (Arkansas/Tennessee) are VERY late this year. Usually last weekend would have been the peak in the upper elevations of the Smokey Mountains. But I was there last weekend, and it was all green! The ledge here looks like it could easily be in the Arkansas Ozarks.

I love this one....in the other the green has been over done, but this is perfect!

An impressionistic and abstract quality. Beautiful color!
