Description
this is a drummer to a band I got to the side and got the image .
I tried to get the colors right but I think it off a little and i played with it for thirty minutes and now i do not wish to mess with the image lol. But it real close. but this was my hardest painting I did so far as i had to repaint a lot of stuff here at lest five times like the background and the drums. i mix a lot of paint for the drums and thought i messed up but then I had to repaint the big drum on it side at lest five times also the drum upright I repainted that one at lest three times. I ran out of the drum paint so I mixed some more. Thought I had it written down but look like I left out some color. But i do like it as is as it gives a smokey look to the image.

Oh Jock. This is brilliant. I was immediately drawn to the drums, to the light. The trouble you took on the drums was worth every second and all that time. They're superb. As a few people have mentioned, the drum set borders on photorealism. Your drummer has the energy of drummers everywhere, concentrating on his craft, oblivious to the world. The background supports the main characters and holds the light beautifully without distracting. This is so well done, so beautifully crafted, so moving, that I got a little teary looking at it. An incredibly moving piece. You seem to be at the height of your creative powers, my friend. This is absolutely gorgeous work.

Yes indeed, Jock, I agree with you it is formidable just as it is (after all your effort). I admire the colors of the drums, as well as the background. It's one of your best work, at least as far as can I know it.
