Here we see the gun and gun mount for the Revell model of the Nashorn. The photos are a bit overexposed as they were taken on the kitchen counter which reflected the flash. The photos give an idea of the detail in this model. The black thing in both photos is the rubber shield of the binocular range finder. Revell has given the model builder the option of constructing the gun with a closed breech or an open breech. I chose the open breech for this model. The breech block is visible in the upper photo. The brass wheels are for laying the gun (traverse and elevation). The cylinder above the gun barrel is the recoil mechanism. The steel handle on top of the breech slides the breech block in place for firing, or opens the breech to expel the spent shell casing. Enjoy!
