Zwoggle tried to get everyones attention. They had left the dismal room where all the rumpus was going on, where the mouse was painting & the others were messing about in the box. Meadow had not really wanted to venture outside, she was enjoying the scene. They had decided to go out the back door but they had to come round to the front as they seemed to be on a hill. There was a rickety old ladder to get them down the hill. Zlata didn't really like climbing down but Zwoggle, ever the good friend, went first so that if Zlata slipped he would catch her, he had said. Meadow & Jasmine had just jumped to the ground. "Hush,can you hear that?" asked Jasmine. As she had landed on the ground she thought she had heard a faint meow. Everyone stood still & listened. "There it is again." said Meadow. "Its coming from the tree over there." The friends walked towards the tree. "I am stuck." came a little voice. Jasmine thought for a minute that it could be Mr. Buck but jumping up she could see it was a small grey striped kitten. "Zlata could you bring the ladder over here, then perhaps you or Zwoggle!!!" Jasmine didn't finish her sentence, she heard Zwoggle say what she thought was "Someones coming." Zlata was a bit cross at Zwoggle interupting like that, she hadn't heard what Jasmine was asking her. She put her hand up to stop him talking any more. Meadow looked towards where Zwoggle was. She saw a mouse coming towards them that didn't surprise her at all. He had a sack on his back & was carrying a lantern in his left hand. Flipping heck thought Jasmine this place is a haven for mice, they are everywhere !!!!
