A wonderful POV. I have been there in the 1970s but want to go back. We are thinking about a Rhine River cruise in our future. Maybe that will get us there. Do you live in Heidelberg?

Splendid view! Photo taken from the Koenigstuhl? @ T-Rex, answering the question not asked of me but of the artist, the castle was put in this state long before WW II. There was significant damage in the 30 Year's war around 1620-30, then in 1689 an invading French army blew up the big tower, which is the most damage you see from the other perspectives Hendresse has shown us.
