A few days ago I posted, Open Fire, a piece of promotional art for my science fiction novel, The Blood of the Empire--a story set against the brutal backdrop an interstellar war, where three warroirs must work together to defeat a common enemy . . . that is if they don't kill each other first. Open Fire featured the Pulsarian Empire’s elite infantry, Straaka, opening up with their laser and energy rifles toward unknown targets. Now, with Return Fire, we find out what those targets are. Needless to say, the Straaka picked a fight with the wrong people, the lead characters from the novel. On the right flank we have the human, Dannen Leers, bringing up the the middle is Rook, the Aracrayderian, and on the left flank is the Dracterian, N’ckshell Slayton. Formidable foes, indeed. The structure in the background is Stonemason’s Utopia Labs. Rook is wearing a combination of Ghost Agent, M4 Aircrew harness, and Uzilite’s boots. Dannen is wearing a combination of Veteran Wardog, and Uzilite’s Major Change. N’ckshell is wearing LM Shadow dancer, Assassin Angel, and Uzilite’s Complicated Eve.
