Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

This works quite well. Your lingerie is quite pretty, much nicer than mine!

Your net-and-flower pretties make a beautiful backdrop for this bottle. What a wonderful image!

A wonderful installation. Glad to see a bit of style on the lingerie. Nice to know you haven't gone all 'grandmother' on us.

That's your bra? In zoom, it all looms so large, it could be a whole opera backdrop, or a huge art installation. Love the backing you chose, and how it envelops this most unusual bottle in a lush flowing floral world, and in lace too. You positioned the bottle on one side, allowing the flow of the background to take us away (as on a magic carpet). And the upper floral lace (is that the bra? It actually looks like a bridal veil)---is a great top to this shot. Esp as its above the bottle (which has its own pinks and organic shapes). The patterns on the bottle look like a faux oil painting---a bit of Pollock, a bit of Miro...and you caught the name on an angle, which is just plain good design (ie, you don't let the title take over our attentions, it's part of a whole, not "the" whole). (It's not an advertisement, in other words.) And, at this close distance, the highlights are like currents flowing through the fabric. This is a dramatic composition, and very soft, and a really strong way to present this bottle. I'm glad the scent was to your liking. I assume these bottles retain a ghost of their scents for a long time to come. And---oddly---it looks a bit like a grenade! You should've photographed yourself biting off the "pin", and in the next shot, you crouching behind a bush, as the scent explodes all over your town. More first rate bottle work from you, Andrea. I've said it many times, these could be a book, and I'd be the first one in line to buy it.
