Description

I concocted this render with items heedless of their era or origin: There's a "Pirates of the Caribbean"-style island, a Japanese tea-house and a Chinese sampan. Parts of a Transylvanian castle, Northmen's jetties and Hawaiian vakas. The guys are wearing Roman gladiator's brucae and are equipped with Japanese yaris and modern commando knives. Oh, and a puny monster thrown in for grins Island: Skull Cove Island (DAZ) Teahouse by Merlin (DAZ) Sampan by Serrge (DAZ) Vakas: Hawaiian Voyager by Ken Gilliland (DAZ) Brucae: Ad Gladio by Lutzbel (DAZ) Jetty: freebie by Mortem Vetus (RDNA) Yari by DaremoK3 (ShareCG) Knives: Free Knife Prop and Pose by Adam Thwaites

It's your island so you can do as you please. It's fun to just run through your collection and throw stuff on the screen. Some amazing scenes comes from that. Excellent work!

Frankly, I'm a BIG FAN of "kit-bashing" a scene. I think it's far more realistic to mix and match items and eras than to slavishly adhere to a single theme. I don't mean you should throw a modern TV set into a scene set in Feudal Japan, but the random odd knife or weapon just makes sense. Oh, and I love the weird addition of Grotto's Insectoid as the "Catch of the Day."
