Description

Randers Regnskov (Randers Rainforrest). I visited this place in Jutland in early August this year. It is a kind of zoo - it consist of three big domes and nearby areas with animals and plants. The indoor enviroment resemblances the three big tropic areas: Southamerica, Africa and South Asia with the same climate, humidity and light reconstructed as in the tropics. The visitors can move around in each "world in three dimensions and watch the animals living in enviroments, miniatures of the real thing. Monkeys, birds, bats and other animals move freely around in their dome, while snakes, alligators and others are safely placed outside direct reach of the visitors. It is not pure nature but also med traces of human activity mingled in, like some copies of Maya ruins. The photoshot I like best is this alligator in his/hers surroundings seen from the top.
