Oooooh. Very thick lines in this painting, using more the shadows of her face than the features. It has a dark feel, a brooding feel, it's powerful. You painted the face very powerfully, with a sense of privacy and reclusion. You have a few lines of paint dripping down her face---as if they were tears or even blood. It makes her seem a little sad. Or just alienated from the world around her. With a few bold strokes, you created a whole personality.
You've cut off her face at the top, making a dramatic composition. Her hair is painted in big splashes of black, with very articulate curves and points. And her body seems very stylized, almost as if it were made of cut-outs (découpe?) Her torso plunges down in sheer descent. And her breast gives the only rounded shape in the entire lower half.
Once again, you've used space very effectively. And the portrait feels like a young woman alienated from her environment, with mystery and passion inside her. She's looking at us, but it feels like she's also hiding. Very effective work, Yves. One of your more mysterious pieces. Beautiful.

Hey Yves!! Wow, fabulous work once again!! Absolutley love the way you achieve so much with your minimalistic but powerfully arranged sense of shape and form. Your work often reminds me of the Ukiyo-e master wood block Japanese artists of feudal Japan!

Superb!

Superlative. Somehow I am reminded of Brigitte Bardot - my teenage flame!
