It's a wonder that anyone can sleep in there ! A great insight Richard.

Nice shot of the crowded conditions on a Fletcher class DD. Imagine waking up to the alarm and having your two upper bunk mates feet in your face! Yuckie! Do you have more inside photos of this ship? Would be nice to see them since most photos are external. Keep up the good work! :-)

Not a lot of privacy there! Interesting how the bunks are all on chains...

With my luck the guy right above me would be the one that always gets seasick....

not ever having been on ship, I don't have the knowing reaction that those who have, do. But as a photo, this is really vital. Wonderful play of light off all those shiny surfaces. Wonderful play between light and shadow. A real counterpoint of perpendiculars. Real contrast in the hues of the beds and of the poles. With that metal floor, and those lockers in the back. I love the visual energy here. You caught both the cloistered feel of these spaces, as well as their visual barrage. Fine work, Richard. An electric capture of a very intense space. Well, I'm at an hour and 10 minutes in your gallery, and I think I've done about 12 images, so I have to move on. But as always, it's a great pleasure, and I hope to be back soon for more. As always, first rate work.
