your poem, again, has an enchanted fairy tale quality, and it has a real truth in it as well, with the idea of one part of nature making another light up in harmony. That idea runs through all your work. Also, you used a lot of rhyme in your stanzas, and it's delightful. Separating some rhymed couplets with a non-rhyming line, etc. Another of your poems that invites us in. These pieces have a children's quality to them, but they're for the magic in adults too.
In the painting, the dolphins appear to swim in the water as well as in the sky, and the sky appears to have taken on an ocean-like feeling. Everything is in waves, in other words. And while this is light and delightful, it actually has deep undertones, like it's at the creation of the world, like an apocalyptic revelation of light and harmony, like a feeling that this very physical scene is actually motivated by a spiritual energy, and that energy is what rushes through everything. (Of course, that energy is in all your images.) We can see the hues of the rainbow, but there're a lot of blue tones here, and they're very restful. And white-ish tones which are not only highlights, but a kind of spiritual halo or glow around things. Dolphins, of all the fish I know, seem to harmonize with the motions of water more than most, and you caught that here in the dolphins, in they way they arch and turn with the waters around them. A 'communion' of dolphin and water (and sky)...
The left-most dolphin has his mouth open, as if he were a little kid joyously taking the next leap. This image feels like you started with pure light, you coaxed-out the colors 'inside' that light (physics suggests that bright light often has many colors in it, which can be discerned by breaking it down via its spectra), you then stirred---the magical stirring---and either invited these magical dolphins to jump in, or the dolphins appeared by themselves, having waited for someone to create their proper environment. And you, the master creator, made it all happen with your 'magic brush'.
"Dolphin" comes from an ancient Greek root, meaning "womb". The Delphic oracles, and Delphi itself come from the same root. (delphi...dolphin...) I'm not sure why the fish got that name, but, poetically, the idea is sweet---ie, that this sweet fish, who moves through the water like it was designed to without the slightest resistance, should be named after the womb. Like it has the calling, purity and 'newness' to deserve that name. This is a delightful image, filled with your spiritual energies; and your brushwork, as always, is visceral, tactile, and very sensual. (I look at what I post on RR, and I think you're in a wholly different universe! You realize things in images that I get hints of. This is an amazing gallery.)

Mark, thanks so much for your wonderful comment. Just loved it when you said 'one part of nature making another light up in harmony'. I do try to create a harmony of energy in my work. And, of course, I adore dolphins. They really are such glorious creatures, and friends with humans. To me they have a childlike human playfulness that I tried to portray in this image. I just loved the idea of being bathed in a rainbow of colors. And rainbows are speaking to me big time lately. They are saying follow my heart's path, and that the journey can be magical, to let the spirit of hope and play guide me. And the way they suddenly appear and can disappear as quickly says to me ... be in the present ... do it now.
