Description
So, this past weekend, I decided to give myself a kung fu movie marathon. (Yes, I am a girl, and yes, I love kung fu movies.) My Sunday was spent watching Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Tony Jaa, Andy Lau and the beautiful Liu Yifei. Afterwards, I needed to paint a picture!
Done in DazStudio 4.8, Marvelous Designer 5, Photoshop CC 2015, and Painter 2016. I hope you enjoy.

i, too, love such films, and just watched Forbidden Kingdom the other night. i find so much inspiration in this genre of film, esp. in the graceful movements and with the characters themselves, the kind of noble code by which they centre themselves through.
you've done a great job in depicting that moment just before a dance begins, the body's opening salvo, and i truly appreciate the balancing awareness you have with the props/clothing & how those things should look given body position & earth's gravity. very apparent you spent some time with all the details here... and because of that, i find this to be quite engaging, allowing me to envision the next bit of the storyline...

Great pose and scene, you really captured the essence of the genre. I haven't seen a kung fu movie in a long time, but maybe I should. I love them. :)
