Well Ute, I'm at 2 hours now (and I think I did 11 images), so this will have to be my last for now. But your Halloween series has been a sheer delight, and this is no exception. First, your pov is terrific: You've angled the background for drama. The arch back there gives more drama to the piece. (Visual drama.) You have wonderful light---it's very intense in spots, and it falls into deep shadow in other spots. The light on the two main characters is very strong; and the misty haze of the street lights in the background is wonderful too. You have high towers back there---this is definitely London of the 1800s (no high rises): The spires give a spooky gothic feel to it all. And a blimp! Lol---a great little addition to this piece. You have lots of detail on the facades, with a smoke shop on the right, maybe a theater poster next to it, part of a sign above the man, etc. Under the arch it looks a bit like an impressionist painting. And there's a guy in the front-left, who is totally mysterious: I don't know what he's carrying, but it looks like a weapon, and whatever it is, I don't think I'd wanna have tea with this guy...As for the couple, the woman is definitely not sure they should be there, while the guy seems to be comforting her. Great clothing---down to the tie and collar, the texture of her dress (and patterns on her inner gown), his vest, etc. She's looking like they got off at the wrong subway stop, but he's cool...Wonderfully spooky and playful. And, as always, your details are rich and expressive---it's always a lot of fun to wander around these pieces. And---since this is London, you've got wet pavements with reflections on them. (Did you know that when movie directors film night scenes in cities, they wet the streets beforehand to be sure the streets reflect light? Well, you've done that here.) Beautiful work, Ute. I'll come back for more, when I've finished my rounds. But you did Halloween a great service: These images have been terrific.

An amazing scene !!! This is one of your best !!! Very well done !!! In a couple of years she would be wise to avoid any man approaching her after dark on those dark streets, especially in the east end of London.
