Gorgeous postwork...it has a certain poster-like quality to it that is very appealing. The shaded portions are well done. All features in the shade are perfectly visible down to the man's cellphone...looks like an early model IPhone to me! OK, I am stretching that just a little bit, but you did say these were done a few years ago right? Great to see you back posting again. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a couple of comments...Tara and I had a big laugh about you seeing her standing in such a staunch way in my photo, "Roots". Jawohl...:-)

All the brightness surrounding the autumn tree makes it almost seem as if this is a museum exhibiting its "Fall Collection"; being a very small museum it's just one tree. I love the blues of the shadows, so striking against that yellow-green, both of which appear to be hues from another season altogether. Well done, sir!

very colorful cityscape

This is lovely, Mark. I like the way the landscape in the foreground has more saturated colors and contrast than the cityscape in the background.

Very very expressive image , the green acid of grass, made more evident by use of the frame of the same color , seems to give more strong to the autumn color represented by the yellow tree in the center of the scene. This give to the autumn' color more evidence to the pure beauty of seasonal color than to the sad feeling that usually we referred to it. I like very much this interpretation !!!

Being my least favorite season, I appreciate the ONE tree with fall colors!! I love all the other saturated color---just makes for a really interesting perspective!!

SIGH! What a wonderful symphony in colors. I want to lie down in the right side of this shot and just enjoy your beautiful city. I dont know how you do it, but I can recognize your style on a foggy night with sunglasses. I love this shot where you made a painting of matching colors inall the right places. I just LUV, how the skyscrapers colors are matcing the shadows in the park and the sunny places gives a breathtaking and ever so happy feeling. Or so it does to me. And frankly, I have seen green grasses just as green as this many times. :-)
And thank you so much for your wonderful and encouraging words in my gallery, dear Mark. That makes me want to do more like that D

beautiful colors. I especially like the warm gold and red in the center of the scene; it draws the eye there first and then the eye travels leisurely around to the other spots to finally linger on the pretty flowers in front. bravo!

This makes me think strong light must be a brilliant green. Everywhere the light hits, that fabulous color is highlighted! The lavender shadows tone it down quite nicely, and that single tree with the lone lamp post is like a pool of calm in the midst of a teen-age party. Wonderful, all the way around!

How green, and blue, was my valley. Luverly in all aspects in this bright and sunny photograph of nature's park environment, Mark, with its magnificent and varied colored foliage, contrasted against the bluish artificial Chicago skyline in the distance.
