Just expressing how I feel about the recent changes to Renderosity. I have tried posting in forums and making suggestions to reinstate an optional email alert, but it seems to fall on deaf ears. I used to regard Rendo as my virtual 3D home, but now I visit less often, struggle to keep up with people's images (so apologies if I have missed commenting on your works) and everything seems to take twice as many clicks, take twice as long for pages to load and just be more of a struggle. I do not understand why they took away at least the option to have email alerts, and why they had to change things for the worse.
Is it just me??

No,it is not just you.They took away features that worked for most people I think.Your render certainly conveys your frustration. Neat work.

No, Phil, it's not you... I'm just hanging on by a thread myself. The only two reasons I'm still here at all are 1. A long running story I kinda feel like I should see through to the end, and 2. All the friends I've made here - many of whom have joined me over at Fantasy Attic (where I now spend more time than here...).
I've pretty much given up on the forums.. It's a useless waste of time... I made a comment in one of the forums (I think it was in reply to one of yours) where I said something to the effect that it didn't seem to matter much what the community wanted. I was gently chided by Hope, who listed several things they had changed since the "revolution" - like the gallery image size, fewer ads, etc. Never mine the fact it was completely unnecessary and irrational to make the changes in the first place. Those changes are all good, but the notifications seem to be HUGE with most of the community. The mods claim they were getting complaints about sending too many emails.. But in the 'old' system, you could choose if you wanted notifications when a favorite artist posted something. All you had to do was un-tick the check box on the ones you didn't care about. You had a choice. Now we don't. Apparently, we aren't savvy enough to make our own decisions...

Before I get sidetracked again....... Your work here is outstanding! I think she speaks (rages) for many of us. Her expression of frustration is just perfect. Most excellent work!

T.Rex runs and hides under the bed. Yupp, I miss those e-mails, too. Now I'm going through all posts that come up every day. Takes a lot of time to find my favorites. Sigh. Stress takes the fun out of it..

it took me a while to adjust to new changes. I actually like the new changes, for one thing, i like it that they have no file limit restrictions in posting images (used to be 512K, but maybe there is a limit but it was increased, i posted last image that has over 1 M file size....I go to activity feed link on upper right corner of site to check my favorite artist's new postings...at least i can see their thumbnail images, than thru ebot... but yeah it took me a while to get used to it I do however missed ebots as well but my email is not as clutter as it used to be.... anyway, nice render....i have not been on renderosity much or doing art because we are having a foster child with us for a little while whch takes up my time.

Seems like a lot has changed here recently. I don't get much time to surf RO like I used to. Trying to get back into the groove, so to speak.
Honestly, your image drew me in because of the expression and the title... because I find myself wanting to pull my hair out at all the emails I receive at work! lol. Really, it's past the point of insanity ;-)
Like the image a lot, and hopefully can find my way back into this community besides just posting stuff.

Not just you. I haven't been on here for ages either, because I just don't like this site with all the changes. I've being going overf to DeviantArt I also hate the fact that they seem to be chucking Poser by the wayside re the free stuff. (Nothing to do with Daz having a share in them I'm sure.)

I know exactly how you feel, I asked them to do emails as an OPT-IN thing, they were all no no no we can't do that, Rendo seems to be becoming another D3D.
No emails have meant I have been missing a lot of my favorite artist new uploads

Oh wow, I was wondering why I wasn't getting any comments on my last upload...I DID get comments but no emails about it. So basically...they completely removed that feature? I'm still getting emails about favorite artists' new uploads, but no emails for replies to forum threads, new comment notifications on my own images, etc. Is this entirely gone or is the option to enable notifications just hidden somewhere?
