Fantastic POV and details. You've probably taken the shot early in the morning, I see so many drops of dew on the grass.

A perfect close-up, Jeff! It looks such great with the autumn colours of the leaves, as I love the droplets on the grass very much too. This is, I'm sure a birch bolete, and is edible (very tasty).

Believe it or not, I can still remember these Mushrooms from my childhood in Germany and they tasted always so yummy, it's a pity we cannot get them here at all - but I can still taste the buttery/nutty flavour, I am salivating - get me out of here - LOL, and I also love the look of these wonderful Birch trees - wonderful memories, thanks Jeff - it's nice to reminisce ;))

Cheers BB

A lone sentinel standing up to that menacing tree. Looks like someone got wet. How do you lot say it? A cracking shot.

The mushie itself is fantastic, and looks like a loaf of bread, but the waterdrops on the grass blades are even more cool! Awesome shot!

This is so perfect! I love the way the DOF fades to a slight blur as your eye is led from the foreground to the mushroom, then to the tree, foliage, building, and finally a lovely sky. The dew drops on the grass is the icing on the cake!

All you need now, is a faerie sitting on the 'shroom!

What a delightful variety of mushrooms you have found this week, Jeff! I really like this fat, puffy one and the drops make it extra special. The composition is beautiful... you must have gotten wet as you got down low enough for this shot.

WOW! Fabulous settings on this shot. Love the littl fat shroom so clear against the nicely blured BG :)
